What to do and Where
to go.............
| Fishing
is free to all our guests including the use of the boat. Fishing
is for brown trout, sea trout and salmon. Bring your own gear but
we are always pleased to advise the best places to fish.
The boat is down on the lochside and it is a beautiful spot to have
a picnic while resting after the fishing activities!

Pony
Trekking. There is a centre that is run by Alison MacLeod
at Achnalarig Riding Stable, near Oban. (01631 562745) and treks are organised
according to your experiences across the hills behind Oban.
Glencruitten
Golf Club in Oban
is an exciting and hilly 18 hole course with a modern Club House.
Flora
and fauna abound on the course and in the spring and early summer
it's a splash of colour with the pale-blue iridescence of the harebells
and the violent patches of yellow of the whins.
Among
the fauna, Buzzards are a regular sighting, as are Pheasants, Heron
and Deer. Although not visible, there is the remains of a vitrified
Roman fort, on top of the hill on the 4th
hole , which is a listed ancient monument.

out: Local hotels and restaurants have proved to be very
satisfactory in the past and include:
The
Oyster Brewery at
Easdale is highly recommended by us and during high season we suggest
you should book (01852 300121). They brew their own beers
and my husband reports that they are excellent! www.oysterbrewery.com
